Transforming Lives Through 9 Holistic Programs

At KACDO, we address Somalia’s most pressing challenges with interconnected solutions. Since 2023, our evidence-based programs have empowered communities to break cycles of poverty and inequality, because sustainable change requires action on all fronts.

Health and nutrition

KACDO supports accessible and quality healthcare by establishing health centers in underserved areas, conducting immunization campaigns, and improving maternal and child health services. We also focus on public health education and community wellness.

We provide sustainable WASH solutions such as community latrines, water wells, hygiene training, and awareness campaigns to prevent disease and promote healthy living in rural and displaced communities.

Youth Empowerment

Our programs equip young people with leadership skills, vocational training, and civic education to enable them to play a positive role in Somalia’s development and peace processes.

Education

KACDO promotes inclusive education by establishing and upgrading schools, especially in marginalized areas. We focus on access to education for girls and children in vulnerable communities, while also supporting accelerated learning initiatives.

Community Physical Infrastructures

We implement infrastructure projects such as village drainage systems, paved roads, and public facilities to improve daily life in rural communities through participatory development.

Emergency Response and Preparedness

KACDO responds to natural and man-made disasters with rapid relief and rehabilitation programs. We also strengthen local capacity in disaster risk reduction and preparedness.

Free Legal Aid and Education

KACDO offers legal support to vulnerable groups, especially children and women facing abuse or injustice. We conduct legal awareness sessions and connect victims with professional assistance.

Women Empowerment

KACDO promotes gender equality and the socio-economic empowerment of women through their participation in development programmes. Our objectives include supporting women’s rights to education and opportunities to improve their health and earnings.

Democracy and Governance

We strengthen grassroots governance by encouraging community participation, promoting civic education, and facilitating dialogue between citizens and institutions to support transparency and accountability.
