Kaaliye Community and Development Organization (KACDO) is a Somalia-based nonprofit dedicated to uplifting marginalized communities through capacity building and essential services. Founded in 2023 by a team of dynamic development professionals, we address urgent needs across 16+ sectors — from education and healthcare to women’s empowerment and emergency response.

Our Recent Work

At KACDO, we address Somalia’s most pressing challenges with interconnected solutions. Since 2023, our evidence-based programs have empowered communities to break cycles of poverty and inequality—because sustainable change requires action on all fronts.

🏥 Health and nutrition

KACDO supports accessible and quality healthcare by establishing health centers in underserved areas, conducting immunization campaigns, and improving maternal and child health services. We also focus on public health education and community wellness.

🚰 WASH (Water, Sanitation, and Hygiene

We provide sustainable WASH solutions such as community latrines, water wells, hygiene training, and awareness campaigns to prevent disease and promote healthy living in rural and displaced communities.

📚 Education

KACDO promotes inclusive education by establishing and upgrading schools, especially in marginalized areas. We focus on access to education for girls and children in vulnerable communities, while also supporting accelerated learning initiatives.

Driving Sustainable Change Across Somalia

Since 2023, KACDO has mobilized grassroots action to address Somalia’s most pressing needs. Through participatory programs in health, education, and women’s empowerment, we partner with communities to create lasting development – because sustainable change begins with local leadership.
